We gathered from all over the kingdom (well, there was a wargamer from Wales) for the weekend to play the Battle of Salamanca in 25 mil on a gi-normous table.
Many illuminatae of the wargaming world were there: members of the Wargamers’ Society web-site, of Loughton Strikeforce club, South London Warlords club, the Wargamers Directory web-site and others including two wargame rules writers and the writer of the General de Brigade rules we played with. In all a very enjoyable game with good food, good company and most importantly, good beer.
All admirably hosted by the Scarborough Wargames Club who made everyone feel welcome and did an excellent job organising an ace senario, good accommodation, liquid and solid sustanance and even a band to entertain us on the Saturday night.
Some pictures I’ll put below (and possibly above, since this web-page seems to work that way). Full reports can be found on our pages.
